Where
is NYSolarFest?
NYSolarFest
will occur on the weekend of June 10th and 11th, 2006 starting at 10am
and going until 5pm, or later, in Brentwood, NY, on the grounds of the
Academy Of St. Joseph's.
But please read below where you'll be able to review the directions, maps
and even photos of the front entrance (which you MUST view here because
it is confusing unless you're "briefed" first). Look at the
whole page ! ! :)
Note: Below the following directions
are IMPORTANT photo details, PLEASE READ THEM!

| From
the Long Island Expressway (Route 495): |
| Take
the Long Island Expressway (LIE or Route 495) to exit 53 South. This
will put you on the Sagtikos State Pkwy. Exit S3 to Pine Aire Drive
going east. Go about 1 mile and Pine Aire becomes 3rd Avenue. Continue
on 3rd Avenue for about 3/4 mile until you come to Brentwood Road.
"Turn left (north) onto Brentwood Road for one block turning
right onto 2nd Avenue. Continue on 2nd Avenue for about 4/10's of
a mile, to the north entrance of the Academy of St. Joseph's (check
the photos of front entrance below!).
During the event there'll be signs posted at the entrance. You made
it!" |

the Southern State Expressway: |
Go
to exit 41A North. This will put you on the Sagtikos State Pkwy. Exit
S3 to Pine Aire Drive going east. Go about 1 mile and Pine Aire becomes
3rd Avenue. Continue on 3rd Avenue for about 3/4 mile until you come
to Brentwood Road. "Turn left (north) onto Brentwood Road for
one block turning right onto 2nd Avenue. Continue on 2nd Avenue for
about 4/10's of a mile, to the north entrance of the Academy of St.
Joseph's (check
the photos of front entrance below!).

COMMERCIAL VEHICLES!!!!! From the Long Island Expwy (LIE) Rt.495: |
| Coming
from the west, take the LIE to exit 53 and continue on service
road. Go south on Washington Avenue for 1.7 miles (Make a right
if coming from the west, a left if coming from the east). After
the railroad track the road becomes Brentwood Road, continue
on this for another 2/10's of a mile. Make a left (going east)
onto 2nd Avenue. Continue
on 2nd Avenue for about 4/10's of a mile, to the north entrance
of the Academy of St. Joseph's. During the event there'll be
signs posted at the entrance (check the photos of front entrance
below!). You made it!" |

The

in Brentwood. Below these photos
of the 2nd Ave. entrance are detailed directions and maps
BUT, please be aware that, though NYSolarFest occurs
on property owned by the Academy of St. Joseph's the metal
entrance sign crossing over the driveway states "C. W. Post
Center" and looks like this:
And,
also be aware that, if approaching this entrance
from central Brentwood, there's another sign stating "Brentwood
Campus Long Island University" (!) see below:
