Solar Community Corp. invites you to participate and support the next New York Solar Festival, known as the "NYSolarfest" and "Fiesta del Sol" for 2007 year , at the Solar Café in Brentwood, N.Y.

Solar Community, a non profit 501(c)3 volunteer-based organization, is dedicated to the promotion and advocacy of renewable and sustainable living, promoting a healthy life style, in tune with nature, and protecting our environment, our people, and our planet through education and positive action. Organizing the New York Solar Festival is a key step towards raising awareness and challenging our communities to adopt a more sustainable and holistic way of life. This event is meant to be inclusive of all environmental causes. Many individuals and groups are interested in participating in the planning and sponsorship of this event here on Long Island and beyond. Local vendors and businesses will participate and are looking forward to this event. New York Solar Fest will include seminars and educational programs, as well as participatory events focused on music and art. NYSolarfest'04 — 06 featured a solar stage with performances throughout the 2-day event. There was also a children's theater and puppet show during the event. One of NYSolarfest's major themes is "Educating our communities through the arts."

Solar Community also helps low-income families take advantage of rebates associated with the Long Island Power Authority's Solar Pioneer Program and acquire solar energy for their homes. Solar Community provides free labor and thereby minimizes net expenses for residential solar installations. Homeowners who request the help of Solar Community are asked to participate in future solar projects, much the way traditional "barn raisings" are undertaken in some communities (and after which the well-known Habitat for Humanity is modeled).
